About Us
Photography been a passion since I was very young, when I received my first twist bulb camera, good for 4 flash shots. When the digital era hit and then the DSLR camera came out, I turned my hobby into a career, enrolling in various professional photography courses and then starting Aim South. I started with subjects I loved such as sports and music, and then progressed into events, portraits, studio, and landscape work. I was the primary photographer for the Kings Arms for a number of years, and have photographed many top musicians as a concert photographer, such as Shaggy, Lauren Hill, and studio shoots with Hello Sailor. I have also covered top sporting events such as NZ Gymnastics Nationals for a number of years, and the infamous 24 Hour MTB races of Rotorua. My latest ventures are in portrait and event photography covering the 2019 Food Show for Real Dog Food, and on-board the Queenstown Discovery. Lighting and studio work is also a mainstream for me, shooting for MAINZ (Music and Audio Institute New Zealand), as well as private portrait work. A camera is always by my side, and I shoot travel and landscape photos as a passion, although these have sold well on their own too. I shoot so often, family and friends have stopped taking me on a road trips!
